I talked to Courtney while I was at work and told her that I would like Azure to come over tonight to work on her music video of “Lost Boy”. I was hoping to get it done before Frank and Deeya got back from Europe.
She said that Tim and Her were going to surprise Zarah and take her to see the Beach Boys. Zarah really likes them. They are playing at Symphony on the Prarie this evening. She said that the only problem was that she couldn’t find a sitter for Remi.
I said just bring her over I will watch her while they go to the concert.
Remi destroyed the room in a matter of minutes..while Azure and I worked on her Keyboard and Vocals. Azure and I struggled to get a good take of her singing. I felt like she was trying to imitate the original singer too closely, causing her singing to sound insincere and boxed in. (IMHO). I told her just to sing it in her own voice and try to sing it free and happy.
I tried to be patient but I felt like this was going to be the last chance we had to finish the song. Anyway I know that my frustration showed through and Azure got discouraged. Not to mention the fact that Remi couldn’t stay quiet long enough for Azure to get through the whole song.
Anyway Azure laid down on my bed and Immediately fell asleep. Remi and I played until Courtney showed up. I let Azure sleep because I thought she and I could get started again first thing in the morning. However when Courtney arrived after the show she said that Azure had to go home tonight. She said that TIm and Courtney were going to to Policeman’s funeral and Azure would need to watch Zarah and Remi while they were away… Ugh… That bummed me out.
Courtney showed me a couple of videos of Zarah dancing up by the stage. She said Mike Love kept looking at Zarah. Zarah said that she had a lot of fun. Courtney sent me a couple of short video clips but I accidentally deleted them from my phone the next day.
Azure would not wake up and Courtney carried her outside. Azure was grumpy but I felt like it was my fault.
Saturday – August 5th 2017
I got up early and I mowed the yard at the house and glued a couple tiles down and blew the leaves off the sidewalk and picked up the trash out by the street. And sprayed weed killer down on the weeds in the driveway cracks.
Summer and Brad Buerkle from Hoosier Equipment Brokers were having a birthday party for their son at the big park in Brownsburg, so I decided to go pick up the 3 girls and make an appearance at the party. So as soon as I got the house work done I headed to B-burg.
I got to the house and they put their shoes on and and got in the car around 1:00 p.m.
I asked the girls if they would go into Wal-Mart with me and help me pick out a present for the Birthday Boy. They said Sure. We looked around for about 20 minutes and settled on a “Spiderman” action figure. And I bought a giant Pink ball for two dollars to play with at the park.
We were all hungry so I ordered $22.00 in Subway… that wasn’t pleasant…lol but oh well.
We got to the party just as it was starting and hung out talking and mingling. Then we played on the playground for a while.
I had my laundry with me in the trunk and was going to do it while I was out but the Laundry mat In Brownsburg was full ( this was about 4:00 p.m.). I then took the girls to the dollar store and they each got 2 items to play with.
Courtney and Tim got back from the furneral around 4:30.
