Annie The Musical

I met Courtney at Starbucks at 96th and Meridian at 12:30.  She just went through the drive thru across the street and got the girls some happy meals. We drove down Meridian Street. And drove past our old stomping grounds at 51st and College.

We arrived near the Murat at about 1:30 P.M. I parked on Mass. Ave. We walked to the Murat. I didn’t tell Azure and Zarah what we were doing until we got almost to the front of the Building.

They were both really excited about seeing “Annie”. Zarah in particular loves the two movies that Deeya and Frank have. She has watched them many times. And by association so have Azure and I.

Zannie – September 16th 2014
We got our tickets bought some Pink Cotton Candy, and made our way to our seats. The place was really filling up. We ended up with balcony seats but Azure and Zarah seemed excited by that. So that was good.

The performance was really good. Azure and Zarah watched the whole thing with fixed attention.
They both laughed and clapped during the show. Zarah would laugh occasionally and look over at me smiling.

It was slow going getting back outside afterwards because of all the people. But as soon as we did I suddenly realized that I had locked the keys in the CRV. Ugh. It was getting cold and it was pretty windy so I didn’t want the girls out in the weather for long. We walked over to a place on Mass Ave called Pizzology and sat down. We looked at the menu and then we decided to walk somewhere else.

We walked to Starbucks I got a coffee. We sat there for a few minute while I tried to decide what to do. I saw a place across the street called Sub-Zero Ice Cream. I jokingly said “Do you girls want Ice Cream?”. I didn’t think they would take me up on it since we were cold from walking, I should have known better. They both were like “Yeah”…

We went across the street and ordered a couple of Waffle cones. They freeze the Ice Cream using liquid Nitrogen, right in front of you. Interesting.

While they are eating I called a couple of Locksmiths in the area. The first girl I spoke with was very rude to me because I didn’t immediately know what zip code I was in. As I looked out the door to see the address. She made a smart ale-ck comment and hung up on me.

I couldn’t believe it. I wanted to get the girls in a warm car. I was not happy. I didn’t let the girls see how mad I was at the lady for hanging up on me. But I stewed for a while over that. BTW. It was Quick Lock 501 North New Jersey Street, Indianapolis.46204. 317-664-5724

Anyway, I called Courtney and she agreed to come pick them up from there. She got there pretty quick I gave the girls a Kiss and a hug and told them thank you for going with me.
After that I walked back across the street to Starbucks. I called Scott Burke. He came and got me about an hour and a half later. We went to his house and worked on some song mixes until 2:30 in the morning. The next day we got up at 8:30 A.M. there was about 5 inches of new snow on the ground. He drove me up to Cicero to get the spare keys. We got back downtown about 11:30. He dropped me off. I was back to Cicero about 2:00 P.M.
