I
spent the whole day. working on a gateway laptop for Azure. I loaded
Win 7 on it. I had hoped to have it completely done by the time she
came over tonight. But it had almost 500 MB of updates to D/L from
Microsoft. Then I spent the rest of the day transferring video from
VHS-C tapes to the computer.
I had 9 of them full of video of Azure from 2006 and 2007. I found a special VHS adapter so that they would play in a VCR.
Around 4:00 I set up the tent on the stage out in the barn. and took
supplies and blankets and pillows out there. at 5:00 I took a shower and
waited for the girls to arrive.
Courtney
arrived at
6:30. I ran upstairs when I heard their voices. Courtney was in the
hallway with the girls. She had a bunch of treats and food that Missy
had bought a day or two before. I gave Azure and Zarah super big hugs.
They told me they loved me and missed me. Azure went and found
Brooklynn. Courtney and Zarah and I took the clothes and food
downstairs. I showed Courtney some of the video I had transferred. She
really liked it. She asked me to give her a copy.
Zarah
wanted Courtney to see her Play-doh plus that she got for her birthday.
I got it all out and sat it on the card table. Courtney ended up
staying for about 1/2 hour. Then we walked her to the door. I played
playdoh with Zarah for about 45 Minutes. Frank and Deeya got home around
7:00. Frank went to Cicero to get Dominoes Pizza.
Andrew
came over around 8:00. Deeya put Pandora on the speaker in the kitchen
and we sat in the Living room and talked. Brooklynn and Azure found a
could of walkie-talkies. Frank and I put new batteries in it. Zarah was
sort of upset and whiny because she wanted one too. We finally convinced
her that she would get her chance in a little while.
About
an hour later Zarah and I played with the walkie-talkies for a while.
Around 9:00 Andrew went in the piano room and wrestled around with
Azure, Brooklynn, and Brooklynn. They were giggling and laughing LOUD
for about an hour. Deeya and Frank and I sat in the living room talking
about the band I had just joined and other stuff.
About
10:30 Deeya and Frank and Brooklynn decided to go to bed. Azure and Zarah and I went to the Basement. I put on Legends of Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return (2013)
on the laptop. We laid on the mattress and watched it in the dark.
Zarah fell asleep about 15 minutes in. Azure about 45 minutes in.

Zarah
woke up at 8:30 and said “Daddy I want to play Minecraft” . That
lasted about 10 Minutes. I made them each a bowl of Shredded Wheat with
no milk. They finished the movie from last nite. Azure and Zarah Played
Playdoh again while I typed this. Azure entered me and her in the “Meet
Taylor Swift” contest by Subway.
She
held my Iphone up to a Subway cup and Scanned it. Then I get an email
from Subway saying I am entered. Azure and Zarah are going to take turns
entering the contest this week. Zarah made me a super big cupcake. She
said “I am happy” I said why? she said “Because I missed you”.
I made pancakes for everyone
except Frank. He had to go to work. Azure and Brooklynn played. Zarah
Sat on my lap while I mowed part of the front yard. It is a pretty fall
day out. About 65 degrees and sunny.
Around
noon Deeya and Brooklynn left to go to tennis. Azure and Zarah and I
fed the chickens. Then Zarah showed me her new skill. She learned how to
ride a bike without training wheel 4 or 5 days ago.
I wanted her to show me. I filmed it. She did really good. I was
surprised. She was fast too. Azure and Zarah played outside on the bikes
and played with the walkie-talkies while I finished mowing the yard.
At
2:00 I made the girls some macaroni and cheese and Yudi made them hot
chocolate with marshmallows. Yudi and the girls played UNO while I took
a shower. Then the girls got ready for Saturday evening church. They
played with playdoh until time to go. Church is at 4:30 P.M.
We went to church at 4:30 pm.
Yudi took us. Azure and Zarah played with Walkie Talkies. They
pretended Azure was an order taker at a restaurant and Zarah would call
and order stuff. During one part of an order Azure asked Zarah for her
name. Zarah said “Zarah Brooks”. Then Azure asked her for her middle
name Zarah thought about it for a second and said “Sequerira?”. I
laughed.
We
left church at 5:30 and
went to Taco Bell. Azure had a Dorito Taco and Zarah had a cheese roll
up. When we got back the 3 girls rode bikes outside until dark. It was
getting chilly out so they wore hats and gloves and light jackets.
Deeya
and Frank left at 8:30 to go to the McGraths. Deeya wore her Mouse
shoes she bought in Paris. The 3 girls an Yudi played with the playdoh
and watched the new Oz Movie in the basement. I talked to Jeff Hedback
on the phone about his website.
Around 9:30 they all went up to Yudi’s room and played UNO for about an hour. Then they came downstairs
Azure
played Minecraft. Zarah watch Frozen and I started working with Tinymce
on the laptop. I laid down on the mattress with Zarah for about 20
minutes until she fell asleep. I went back the the Tinymce. I had some
trouble getting it to work at first but by 11:00 am
I
got it to work. By 1:00 am I was getting it to post to a DB and bring
up Posts to a PHP page. I was very very excited about it. This opens up a
lot of new possibilities for me when creating web pages.
I
spent about 45 minutes showing Azure the basics of HTML. She sat on the
Arm of the leather recliner beside me and watched. She was very
attentive.
We went to bed about 1:30 AM
Sunday October 12th 2014
We got up around 8:30 am .
The girls had pancakes and cereal for breakfast. At 11:00 am we went to
Home Depot to get wood to work on the chicken coop.
Frank
gave me his amx card. On the way through Cicero we stopped at
McDonalds. We rented 3 movies. Isabelle, Monster High Freaky Fusion, and
Barbie and the Secret Door. Then we went in and Azure got a happy meal
and Zarah got a Cheese Burger.
Then
we went to Advance Auto in Noblesville and I got Gasket Sealer for the
Astro Van. Then on to Home Depot next door. We were in there for about
an hour getting supplies.
We
got back around 1:00 It was overcast but the temperature was pretty
nice. I worked on the Chicken Coop while Azure and Zarah rode bikes and
played with the Walkie-Talkies. Azure saw a little mouse in the grass. I
caught it and put it in a plastic box with some leaves and grass.
Azure
put some mango, bread, and blue berries in the box. I was really
mellow. I wondered it it was sick but it looked healthy. After about a
half hour it picked up a blue berry with its hands and started eating
it. I took a couple of pictures. Azure wanted to keep it, but I said it
was wild and would not like being captured. I said we would keep it
until dark.
I
stopped working around 4:00 and started some bath water for the girls.
While I was in the house Yudi and the girls rode around on the golf
cart. Yudi saw another mouse in nearly the same spot outside. I caught
that one too and put him in the box. It was scared and hid under some
leaves. But about an hour or so it went up and cuddled with the other
mouse. I saw it eating bread bread later.
Azure
and Zarah took baths at 4:30 and got ready to go to church with
Brooklynn. They are going to “Awana” at Harbout Shores church. It is a
summer kids/bible/fun program.
While
they were gone I worked on building my new blog program. They got back
around 8:00 P.M. they played Play-doh and watched the Barbie Movie.
Azure wanted to sleep out in the tent so she could look at the mice. We
didn’t want to bring the box in the house because we didn’t think Deeya
would care for
that.
I
had set the tent up on the stage in the barn on Friday and it was up
and ready to go. Around 9:00 P.M. it started raining. Around 9:30 we
decided to go out to the barn. We met Frank at the side door. He said
since it was raining he would drive us to the barn. We took him up on
the offer.
We
watched Monster high. I made popcorn. We looked at the mice a little
and Azure played MineCraft. about 11:00 we got in the tent, and tried to
finish the movie. However both Azure and Zarah fell asleep before it
was over. The rain was really loud on the aluminum roof.
I
woke up several times in the night. At one point I heard a little noise
coming from the direction of the mices box. then I saw a brief little
shadow on the wall of the
tent. I unzipped the door of the tent and jumped out real fast. The new
mouse was out of the box and standing on the table I sat the box on. I
looked at him and said “what are you doing?” he just looked at me. He
didn’t try to run away. In fact he raised up and put his paws on side of
the box like he was trying to get back in. I took a blue Solo type up
and scoop him up and put him back in the box. Although I did it quickly
he didn’t seem to put up a fuss. he went over to the other mouse and
laid with it.
I
went back to the tent and slept until 5:57. am. I shut off my phone
alarm before it went off at 6:00. I went into the house. And made
Oatmeal for Deeya and Frank. Then I went back out to the tent. I didn’t
think I would fall asleep, But I ended
up sleeping hard until 8:30. I woke the girls up. We loaded into the
Gray Mercedes and drove to the house because it is still raining.
I
made Pancakes for Azure and Zarah had some Fruity Pebbles. They watched
Doc McStuffins. Azure protested because she doesn’t watch that show
anymore because it is a little kids show.
Then
I sat in the living room Azure played MineCraft , I typed this and
Zarah watched T.V. and played with a couple of umbrellas.
Monday October 13th 2014
At 2:00 we went to Cicero to
take the 3 movies back. Then we came home. We made the Brownies. Then we
made Blue apron Moo Shu Vegetables.

Zarah did the dishes and cracked
and put the eggs in the food. Azure cut the Scallions and the
Mushrooms. I cleaned the Kitchen and did the dishes while the girls rode
bikes. The we went outside. The temperature outside was perfect. We
went out to the swing by the firepit. I read the story of David and
Goliath to them.
Then
at 6:30 we went to the barn. Azure played minecraft and we watched
Monster High again. Yudi came in and the girls played outside on the
golf cart with her until dark. Then Azure decorated her new larger mouse
house that I built for her.
She
showed Yudi the mice. Yudi kept trying to nudge them with a stick to
get them to move. They just wanted to stay in a ball. Later they did get
up and eat some bread and mango. The girls rode their bikes and
scooters around in the barn. It was raining
outside. I turned on all the Halloween Decoration lights.
Zarah
fell asleep in the tent around 11:00 watching Cloudy with a chance of
meatballs. Azure and I went to bed about 11:30. We laid in bed and
talked about being scared of things. the dark. Storms. playing guitar in
front of people…etc. Azure seemed to really listen. We all slept
really good.
We
woke up at 8:37 am. We ate some poptarts and donuts and watched the
Barbie movie again. I worked all morning on Azure’s laptop. But I am not
having a whole lot of luck getting Minecraft to install.
The girls rode bikes in the barn, Played Jenga. Azure played with her mice.

At
2:00 we went into the house. The girls made bracelets with a craft kit.
Then they took an hour long bath. Then we had Spagetti 0’s and Plums.
The girls made “Popsicles” by filling small dixie cups with lemonade and
putting a popsicle stick in it and putting it in the freezer. After
eating we went back out to the barn.
Wednesday October 14th 2014
Around
4:00 on Wednesday the girls took hot baths for quite a while. Then we
took Deeyas car to Westifield and Ate. Azure and Zarah got Turkey Subs
and a Cookie. and a Taylor Swift Cup with Rootbeer in it. Zarah also
got Doritos. I had a Veggie Flatizza and Doritos and a Coke Zero in a
T.S. Cup.
We got back and went down in the basement. Yudi came down and we played hide and Seek for a couple of
hours. Then we went out to the barn. Azure
Stacked cups for a while making castles and things. Then I got in the tent with them and we watched “Muppets Most Wanted”.
We
all slept really good. I got up at 6:00 am and made Oatmeal for Deeya
and Frank and then at 7 went back to the tent. We slept until 8:30. We
laid around until nine and then went to the house. I made
pancakes for the girls then they played minecraft and playdoh. While I
studied LYNDA.COM Bootstrap 3.
We went back outside around 3 and rode bikes. I tried to find the short in the Driveway Lights.
Tuesday October 14th 2014
Tuesday
evening. After taking showers and eating we went to the barn. We rode
bikes around the trail. This is the first time we each had our own bike
and Zarah didn’t have to ride on the back of my bike. I keep thinking
about how they are growing up so fast.
Around 7:30 we walked up to the house. Brooklynn was trying on a halloween school costume that looked like candy.
They girls at Spagetti and meat balls that Yudi made.
I
worked on CSS tutorial. We watched “Isabelle” movie in the tent. Zarah
hugged me every 5 minutes the whole movie. We fell asleep around 11:30
Thursday and Friday 10-16 and 10-17
We were in the house most of the day. The girls played in the living room, I worked on Jeff’s website. most of the day.
When
Brooklynn got home the girls built a fort under the stairway in a
closet. They watched Movies and played minecraft and decorated their
fort.
I
made them popcorn Yudi made scrambled eggs and sausages for them. They
were kind of trying to exclude Zarah. Zarah was being so sweet and kind
to them. And was trying so hard to play house with them. It pulled at my
heart. I went over and got her and picked her up and started playing
playdoh with her. I felt sorry for her. She just wants to be included.
Brooklynn
went to bed at 10:30. The girls laid on the mattress on the mattress in
the basement while I sat near them and worked on the website.
I went to bed at midnight.
I
got up at 6:00 am and made oatmeal. and the then laid back down for a
while. I made instant oatmeal for the girls which they loved.
We went outside and Rode bikes
around the trail. I started to work on the brake leak on Franks van when I found a garter snake.
I
showed it to everyone and we took a couple of pictures of it. The girls
each touched its tail. Then I let it go. Kelly from United Way called
me and asked me if I wanted to go back to work for them next week. I
said “Sure”.
The
girls started playing under the staircase again. I warmed up some pizza
for them and bought them each a root beer from the gas station.
Around
6:00 pm. Yudi and Zarah went to a birthday party in Noblesville. Azure
and I watched about an hour of video from of her from 2007. They were
cute.
Then Azure started painting. She took a vase of flowers from the kitchen and sketched it out and painted it.
Zarah painted Too.
Saturday October 18th
I got up around 8:00 am and started practicing guitar. The girls got up about 9:00. We had breakfast and got dressed.
I loaded up the laptops and movies and stuff to draw with. I took some chips and capri-suns and crunch n munch for the girls.
We
got to Scotts at 12:30 it is a cool cloudless day. All of the trees are
amazingly colored. We practiced until about 4:00 p.m.The
girls
got along with Eleana very well. They played dress up and put on makeup
and had lots of fun. They didn’t want to leave when practice was over.
All the band members were amazed at how beautiful Azure and Zarah are.
Eleana
gave Azure a sweater and a wooden knick knack from Russia. She gave
Azure a big helium butterfly balloon and one of those wooden dolls that
has smaller dolls inside each of the other. They are

I met the bass player today. He told me over and over I sounded great. That was nice to hear.
We had a good practice I suppose. They play really loud and my ears were ringing when we were done.
I borrowed Scotts Hi8 Video Player so that I could get video off an old tape I have.
We left
around 5:00 p.m. We went through the drive through
at McDonalds. Then we drove on to Taco Bell and I got a 7 layer burrito.
The girls played with crayola clay stuff in the fort under the stairs for a while. I watched Cutting edge CSS3 by Tutsplus.
They
girls played on the treadmill and watched Disney in the Exercise room.
Then they put on a dance performance for me while I sat in the recliner
in the basement.
At 9:30 P.M. They ate some cereal. and went back to play in the basement some more. Azure sad because she doesn’t want to leave
tomorrow.
