I
spent all day mowing and weed whacking. I fixed a broken coat rack and
changed a light bulb in the garage door opener. I knew Azure and Zarah
would want to sleep in the tent. It is perfect camping weather so I
took blankets and pillows and stuff out to the barn in preparation.
Azure
and Zarah got here at about 6 PM. I asked them
about school and how their Birthday Party was. Zarah wanted me to swing
her around in the air. so I did that several times. Until she said her
arm hurt a little.
Deeya and Frank were going to a party at Dawn and Rogers. Zarah
Immediately found a new can of Play-doh and wanted to play with it. Soon
all 3 girls were playing with it.
Deeya
and Frank asked me if it was OK if Brooklynn stayed home with us I said
“sure”. We played Play-doh for a while and then I got out a two colored
cookie doh mix called “candy-corn” and asked the girls if they wanted
to make it. They were excited. So about 8 p.m. we went upstairs and made
it. They made quite a mess. Especially Zarah. I think she thought the
mix was Play-Do”, because she kept rolling it up in a ball and then
making stuff out of it. They had a lot of fun though. They made the
cookies into several different shapes. Pumpkins, Letters, Minions, candy
corns…etc… Brooklynn said you are the best Uncle ever uncle Mike.
And then Azure and Zarah said, he is the best Dad in the world too. That
was nice to hear.
While
it was baking they played Zarah took a misstep off of the kitchen floor
and fell kinda hard on the tile. She started crying. I ran over and
picked her up and tried to calm her down. I sung to her in the melody
of “Do you want to build a snowman”… Do you want to wear a band-aid?. I
will put it on your knee. And then you’ll feel alright and sleep right
through the night, just wait and see.” she calmed down a little. Then
Azure and Brooklynn joined in and sang and they ran and got
her a band-aid and put it on her.
We
took the cookies and milk down to the basement at 9:00 p.m. and watched
Scooby-Doo Franken Creepy. Zarah wasn’t really interested and played
with Play-doh some more. I decided that it was too late and dark to try
and sleep in the tent so I told them we would do it tomorrow night.
I then put on Rio2. That’s not a very good movie. At least not as good as the first one. Brooklynn and Azure started building a
fort. Zarah wanted to play with them but they wanted to play-by them selves. So Zarah and I laid down
on the mattress. She fell asleep about 10 minutes later.
Deeya
texted me at about 1:00 and said they were on their way home. Brooklynn
and Azure fell asleep on the floor of their fort. In the middle of the
night Brooklynn went upstairs.
Zarah
woke up at 8 am. And Kissed me on the cheek twice and said “Daddy” and
hugged me. She is such a sweet loving little girl. I played play-doh
with Zarah until the rest of the house woke up a little after 9:00. I
made pancakes for everyone. it is 11:30 am right now. I am gonna take
the girls on a walk around the trail and show them a BIG hornets nest
that Deeya found the other day. It is abandoned.
We
went outside and went to the trail to look at a big
hornets nest. Azure picked up a rock and started to throw a rock at it.
I told that wasn’t a good idea because the bees would just get mad and
then come looking for her. I said I thought this bee hive was abandoned
though because I have never seen any bees around it. Then Azure picked
up a
little piece of a stick and threw it at the hive before I even realized
it. And several bees immediately came out. We walked a way rather
quickly.
Then
we went out to the barn and the girls played for about an hour. Frank
was out in the barn cleaning up an area for the bonfire tonight. The
girls rode on a bike and a scooter for a while and pulled each other
around on an old office chair with a jump rope tied to it.
We
then walked around the trail once. The weather is perfect. We saw a
Chipmonk run into his hole. We went and got some blueberries and some
mango and dropped it down in the hole. Z and I danced to Frozen’s “In Summer” Song
At 3:00 P.M. Yudi and Azure, Brooklynn and I all went to a craft place at Clay
Terrace called “Color Me Mine” and painted some clay figures that they would later glaze and cook. we stayed until 4:30 Azure did a pony. Zarah did a Hello
Kitty, Brooklynn did a bunny and Yudi did a cup. I walked down to the Pizza place and got a slice of cheese pizza.
Then the girls ran into Justice for a minute. and looked around.
When
we got back we all got ready for the Bon Fire. I took a shower and
started the fire. Deeya wrapped a couple of gifts for the girls.
We
got out to the barn about 7:00 the girls opened their gifts Azure got a
MineCraft Lego set, a Minecraft sword that she had asked for. A Diary
with a big pink “A” on it. A black and with purse with a Unicorn on it.
You can color it with fabric markers. And an Ice Cream maker.
Zarah
got a Light up Elsa Dress with shoes, a Hungry Hippo game. A singing
Frozen wand Some Play-Doh plus and a Play-Doh Double Desserts. Factory.
They were very excited and happy. I took
video and pictures. We started cooking hot dogs and marshmallows over
the fire and it immediately started raining. Deeya talked to Azure about
her fear of rain and storms. We all stayed in the barn and ate and
listened to music on Pandora. The girls played on the stage and rode
bikes around until 9:30.
Azure, Zarah
and I went down to the basement. Azure played with her MineCraft legos
and Zarah played with her Play-doh Double Deserts. We went to bed about
Midnight.
We got up at 8:15 am.
Zarah and Azure took a bath in the Jucuzzi tub. They both did super,
they took a bath and got dressed and brushed their hair with out any
fussing at all.
We left for church at
10:15 am. I could tell Azure and Zarah were paying some attention to
what was going on up front a little because when Pastor Jennings said
something about David slaying Bear and a Lion Zarah whispered to me
“That’s like the Wizard of
Oz”… And then when a lady in a yellow dress started playing an
electric guitar during the music portion Azure said “I like her blue
Guitar”. During the service Zarah drew a picture and then whispered in my ear “This is a picture of our Birthday Party last nite”
We talked to Diane and Steve for a few minutes afterwards.
Diane showed me a pic of Steve playing Mickey Mouses piano at Disney
Land and a pic of Steve Driving a race car at the Race Track in
Brownsburg yesterday.
We got back from
Church at 12:30 Brooklynn and Azure started playing Minecraft with
Azures sword. Zarah put in her Elsa Dress right away and played it.
Azure and Zarah Played with the Play-Doh Plus for quite a long time. They were cooks and I was the Customer. They made me several Treats. Ice Cream, Cakes, Cupcakes. They got along good. I made a pizza and mac and cheese for them. Once while they were playing with the toys, Azure was squeezing “icing” out of a tube, I heard Zarah say “Will you hand me the Extruder?”… I was like.. “What?”.. Azure was too. Azure didn’t know what it meant. I said where did you learn that word? She said from watching Play-Doh videos on YouTube… That was funny.
Azure played with her Minecraft Legos for a while while Zarah continued to play with her Play-doh. I took it outside before they left so that I could take a picture of what she has created so far.
We left at 5:15 P.M. Frank took us in Yudi’s car. We sat outside of Starbucks for about 15 minutes. Courtney and Tim arrived in the Police blazer about 6:10. Azure looked bummed out but didn’t cry.
Courtney texted me about an hour later and said that Zarahs Elsa dress was awesome.
