The Illusionists

Azure has been mildly interested in  magic tricks for quite a while and when I heard that they were going to have a professional magic show at the Murat, I called my ole’ buddy Chris and asked him if he could get me in. He said that he could.

I drove the CRV to work that day. Frank was taking some time off to take Deeya to have surgery.
They ran out of work around 3:30 P.M. so I drove over to the Murat and hung out in Chris’s office for a while. He had me sign a waiver saying that if I saw any of the secrets to the magic tricks while back there I was not allowed to tell anyone.

Chris and I ran over to his apartment. We met Dan Castings there. We hung out for about 45 minutes and then I met the girls and Courtney and Tim at Kohls in Speedway.

We drove the show and got there about an hour early, so we walked around the lobby and talked to the Souvenir guy.

Just before the show started I look at the row in front of me and about 6 seats to the right I saw Susan and Mike Hart. ( He used to sing for the Firedogs back in the day )
I couldn’t believe it. I haven’t seen him since 2001. At his wedding receptions.  I told him that I went and saw Joey this past weekend.  He told me that he was 71 now. Time flies.

My phone was almost dead by the time the show started so I was only able to take a couple of pics.
You weren’t allowed to take any during the show.

The show was really entertaining. I could tell that Azure and Zarah really liked it. There eyes were riveted to the stage the entire time.

There was lots of smoke, lights, and Pryo, And even some birds… There was one magician/comedian that really had the audience cracking up and at one point Zarah asked me if she could yell out”You’re Funny!”… That made me laugh.

The other thing I noticed was that during almost every trick they wanted to pick someone from the audience to participate. Each time Zarah would sit up as tall as she could in her seat and sometimes raise her hands. Azure on the other hand would slink way down low in her seat. Too funny.

The show got over around 9:30 P.M, By then my phone was completely dead and I needed to take the girls home.  The only problem was is that I didn’t know how to get there.  I got us to Brownsburg and Azure got me the rest of the way there.

It was dark and cold out. Courtney came out and met us. She gave me one of my old coats that she had found in her storage. I put 10.00 in Franks car and Drove home.

I really had a great time with them.
