Courtney and Tim wanted to leave for Ft Meyers and asked me if I would let the girls come over on Thursday through Saturday. The girls are going to Disney World on Saturday with Missy and Dan.
I asked off work on Thursday and they said O.K. On Thursday evening I met Tim at the Starbucks at 96th and Meridian at 8:15 P.M.
Brooklynn was very excited when I told them that Azure were coming over. She started jumping up and down and spinning around . She said “Jump with me Yudi, Jump with me Yudi”. I started laughing.
When we got back the girls played together until about 10:00. I went to Burger King around 9:00 and got 3 happy meals for Azure, Zarah and Brooklynn.
We watched Spongebob Sea Side Capers for and while went to sleep on the Tempur-Pedic mattress in the basement around 11:00.
We woke up Friday morning at 8:00 A.M. I made pancakes for the 3 girls. Frank and Deeya were at work all day.
The girls played upstairs in Brooklynn room all morning I could hear them singing.
Around 1:00 I took them to the park in Cicero. It is cool and windy but it is sunny and actually warm in the sun.
We stayed at the park for two hours. I listed to Dana Loush on the radio while the played they had a lot of fun.and giggled and ran a lot.
They took their shoes and sock off and played in the sand on the Beach Volley Ball Court. We left the park around 3:30 and went to get a couple of movies from the Red Box at McDonalds. We got a new R.L Stine Goose bumps movie and a Barbie Rock Camp movie.
Then we stopped at the store and I bought stuff to make Spagetti. Then we stopped at Sullivan Hardware and I got a spare car door key made. The girls waited in the car. Azure helped Brooklynn memorize Bible verses for Awana.
When we got back Yudi was sitting at the kitchen counter studying for School. I made spaghetti for the 4 of them.I made 15 bean and veggie soup for me
While they were eating the they were talking about what they wanted to be for Halloween. Zarah said “I want to be something warm”. I started laughing because last year we went to the Trunk or Treat event at Harbour Shores Church last year and we all froze. ( She obviously remembered that)
The girls played outside on the trail. Made Slow Motion Movies on Azure Phone. They made up dances and did Handstands.
They watched the Barbie movie while I worked on Jeffs Hedbacks website. Brooklynn had to go to bed at 10:00.
We laid on the mattress and started watching The “Goosebumps” Movie. It was a little intense for Zarah so I turned it off at her request. Azure was irritated a little because she was liking it.
I turned off the lights and the both fell asleep pretty quickly. I got up about 20 minutes later and worked more on the website until about 1:00 A.M.
We woke up around 9:00. I didn’t want to get up. Zarah said that was hungry. I got her a granola bar and some heated up chocolate soy milk.
Zarah decided that she wanted to watch the rest of “Goosebumps” movie. We watched that. Then we went to the McDonalds in Cicero at noon. Azure and I got pancakes. They gave us sausage even after I told them 2 times that I didn’t want them. Zarah got a Hashbrown and Orange Juice. We took the movies back to the red box.
We got back the house and the girls were cold. I made them a hot bath in the Jacuzzi. They got dress and brushed their hair and drew pictures for a while.
While they were taking a bath I started copying some old VHS tapes that Scott Burke had. He wanted me to put them on DVD before the tapes completely rotted. I found this on one of them. My Voice was shot that nite (apparently) but I was amazed to find this from 1990, So I am going to post it anyway just for memories sake.
Then Yudi can Brooklyn came down around there and they made Videos from Azure’s phone and Played made up games in the exercise room.
I told them we would be leaving around 4:15 P.m. Didn’t get much resistance from them this time because they knew they were going to Disney World Tonight.
We packed up the stuff and Drove to meet Missy at Costco at 5:00. We stopped at the Kwik Mart at 96th and Meridian. I got both the girls a hot chocolate. They were too hot for them to drink until we got all the way to Costco.
Missy met us in a white Suburban. She rented that so that all 4 grand kids would be comfortable on the drive to Florida. I talked to Missy and Carter and Grace for a few minutes. Cool, but beautiful fall evening. No clouds.
I hugged and kissed Azure and Zarah and got back in the car and pulled out. As I was pulling away, both girls ran up to the door and gave me a kiss and a goodbye again. And as usual…… I miss them already.
