I met Dan after work around 6:00 P.M. at Costco. It was dark, windy, and cold. Dan and I talked outside for a minute while the girls sat in the car. After we left we went to the Wal-mart at 86th and Michigan.
The girls picked out 3 crafts. one of each of them and one for Brooklynn. We got to the house and the girls immediately started making their crafts. Azure and Brooklynn made lip gloss, while Zarah put faux gems on a “Frozen” jewelry box.
They had a lot of fun. I told the girls I was going to go outside and feed the chickens. She gave me her pink rubber wrist band and told me to put it on while I went outside because “It glows-up in the dark”. That always makes me laugh when she says “glows up”.
After a while Zarah laid on the mattress and played “ABCMOUSE.COM” The girls fell asleep on the mattress after Brooklynn went to bed. I stayed up and listened to a “Jazz version” of Uptown funk. I love this version and I listened to it over and over.
Finally I fell asleep between Azure and Zarah on the mattress. I got up around 8:00 a.m. the next day. I went upstairs to the kitchen and Zarah came in behind me about 10 seconds later.
The first thing she said was something about the “Elf on the Shelf” that was in the Christmas Tree. I didn’t even notice it. I thought to myself how much detail kids eyes see. The tree was covered in T.P. Zarah was fascinated by the whole thing.
Deeya came downstairs a few minutes later. And asked me if we could go downstairs for a few minutes. So we did.
We woke Azure up and she wanted cereal. I made up some cereal for them upstairs. The first thing Zarah noticed was that the Elf had moved again. She was very excited by this and told Azure.
We went back downstairs again. We tried to decide what we were going to do for the day. We settled on Rollerskating because I had a 50% off coupon. We took off around 10:20 and headed to West 38th Street. The girls sang Christmas songs all the way there.
We got to Skateland at 11:10 and got in. We got a table and skates and started skating. I wasn’t doing that well this time. I didn’t like my skates. Got a different pair that didn’t help.
Azure said her stomach hurt so we ended up skating around in the center about 1/2 the time. Zarah, Azure and Brooklynn fell several times. We tried to all hold hands and go around that didn’t work out so good either. Around 12:45 I got 10.00 dollars in tokens. The girls played arcade games until time to leave at 1:30.
Azure was standing at a game turned around and fell down. And said “oops I forgot I was on roller skates”…lol
We left there it was sunny out but cool. I needed to get a head light for the Hundayi. I don’t know why but the right light goes out about every 5 months. We ended up at 86th and and 465 on the west side. We went into Taco Bell and ate. I didn’t eat anything. For some reason I hadn’t been hungry yet all day.
I started driving around looking for an auto parts store but was having no luck. We ended up driving by the Humane Society. I said “Who wants to go pet some cats and puppies. They were all excited. We went in and played with then animals for about an hour. They didn’t want to leave.
Then we went up to carmel through the main street. Azure saw an Art Gallery and wanted to go in. I said OK. they had some cool paintings for sale. Including one of John Lennon that was 38,000 dollars.
Then we went to an Antique Mall a couple of doors down. Brooklynn wasn’t very impressed. But by the time I said lets go 45 minutes later none of them wanted to leave. Zarah wanted a Typewriter and Azure wanted a toy horse that was in there and Buku wanted an old baby buggy.
I saw an old artillery that stood about 2.5 feet tall. I wanted that. When I was little and living near “Eglin Air Force Base” In Fort Walton Beach Florida. My Grandmother had a few of those in the house. She would fill them with beach sand and use them for Ash Trays. I always that they were cool when I was small.
It was about 4:30 and we were to meet Deeya and Frank for Yudi birthday day at a Mexican restaurant called “CHUY’S”. I went to CVS to get Yudi a Birthday card. It was packed with shoppers. there were 20 people waiting to check out. I have never seen a CVS that crowded before.
When I left there Azure spotted a NAPA auto parts. I ran in and got a headlight bulb. We listened to Taylor Swift 1989 all the way home. We went into to get ready for dinner. I took a shower and the girls changed clothes. Yudi was there and asked if she could ride with us. I said sure.
I changed the headlight bulb in about 5 minutes. I have done it so many times now I don’t really even have to look. We left at 5:30 and headed out. CHUYS was about 20 miles away in Hamilton Town Center. It was a very colorful and festive place and it was PACKED. Deeya and Frank put in for a table at 5 and we didn’t get seated until after 7:00. We stood in the lobby eating chips and salsa. The salsa was awesome.
I got full on chips and Salsa so I didn’t order anything. We prayed before eating and gave Yudi some gifts and a card. After eating the girls went over to a little glass enclosed booth where two or 3 ladies were rolling out taco and burrito dough.
The girls seemed very interested in this. Eventually one of the ladies stuck her hand under the glass and gave each of the girls a small ball of dough they played with those the rest of the night. Yudi asked me several times if the girls could stay a couple extra days and she would watch them while I am working. I said if Deeya doesn’t mind.
After we got back the girls played downstairs for a while. Around 10:00 P.M. Zarah and I took the telescope outside and looked at the moon. Zarah told me she could see aliens…lol
Then after Broolynn had to go to bed.Azure and Zarah laid on the mattress each with a laptop. Azure watched “PAN” and Zarah Played “ABCMOUSE.COM”.
I went to bed about 11:30 in the middle of them.
SUNDAY.
We got up at 8:30. I took a shower. Brooklynn found some clothes for Azure and Zarah to wear to church. Zarah had a “AMERICAN DOLL” Dress on. It was the character “SAGE”. Zarah found the book that had a little girl wearing the same dress as her on the cover. She was showing everyone her dress and the book.
Later on in the day Deeya said that she could keep it. Zarah said “YAY”.
We went to Harbour Shores Church. Azure in old enough now her and Brooklynn stay in the Big Service with us instead of Sunday School. she did good. I gave her some money to put in the collection plate.
We got out around noon. And we talked to Steve and Diane Anderson for a few. There was a booth in the lobby that was selling bags for a good cause. Azure found a purple on that said “Dance” on it and Zarah found on that said “Princess” on it.
I decided that it was for a good cause and bought them.
We got back to the house and straightened up the basement while Deeya made lunch. we had Spaghetti and Salads and Garlic bread. It was good. We listened to Christmas songs while we ate.
We got done and the girls started playing again. They played “School” for over two hours. Around 4:00 P.M. I put “PAN” on the projection screen. I made Popcorn and the girls laid on the floor with blanket and pillows. Deeya asked them if they wanted to go to AWANA with Brooklynn at 5:30. They said yes.
So we had to pause the movie before it was over. Frank spent a couple hours in the kitchen making a Homemade Pumpkin Curry . IT turned out really good. Frank took the girls to Awana at 5:30. I started making a big batch of vegetable bean soup. I picked the girls up at 7:30.
The girls wanted to watch a VHS Mickey mouse movie so had to hook the VHS up. They watched that for a while. Then Azure and Brooklynn played “Humane Society” with beanie boos.
Zarah had a really stuffy nose so I gave her some Childrens grape medicine. I gave some to Azure too because she has had a cough all weekend.
Brooklynn had to go to bed around 9:30. Azure fell asleep on the floor. After a few minutes I asked Zarah if she wanted to watch more of the cartoons or go to bed. She said Bed.
We packed on to the mattress. Azure was out again in 30 seconds. Both of the girls had nightmares in their sleep. I had to keep telling them that every thing was ok. ( I don’t know if they woke up but I hoped that they knew I was there and that they were safe)
Monday. First day of Winter. Raining out….The girls hung out with Yudi. They made a Party room in the piano room. They had fun.
Tuesday the girls went to the Childrens Museum.. The girls made Chocolate Chip Cookies.
12-23-15 Wednesday – The girls helped make “Blue Apron” with Yudi.
They made Purses and pillows using felt and glue guns
Stephanie came over the and drew pictures with Brooklynn.
Tim met us at Starbucks around 8:00 P.M. While were where waiting I tried to get Azure and Zarah to say Red leather yellow leather 3 times really fast.I filmed Zarahs… It made us all laugh..
FRIDAY – Had Christmas with Frank, Deeya, Yudi and Buku. I went to Brownsburg at 3:00 p.m. to get the girls per Courtneys request. She and Tim had to be in Greenwood by 2:00 P.M. The girls were in Red and Green Plaid Nightgowns. They showed me their new American Dolls that Santa brought. Howard and Phyliss were there. Missy showed me the new counter top in the Bathroom. And showed me what her Ideas for the pictures that she wants Azure to paint and hang in there.
We got back to the house. Frank and Deeya and Yudi and Andrew were watching a black and white 1951 Version of a Christmas Carol in the basement.
After that was over we had Christmas with the girls. I filmed it. Later that evening we sat in the kitchen and ate a veggie tray. Deeya opened some cheeses that she had ordered. They were packed in dry ice. One of cheeses was goat cheese covered in raspberry and cinnamon. I don’t think Zarah liked the looks of it because she pointed at it and as politely as she could muster she said, “Can I not have a piece of that please?”… Deeya and I cracked up.
The girls made Forts out of Chairs and Blankets and made a huge mess.
Saturday. Went to the Ballard -Webb Christmas party at 5:00 P.m. at Jessie and Jessica’s. Stopped at Missy and Dannys first at 4:30. Missy, Dan, Phyllis, Howard, Mindy and Mark were all there. and David Schweibold.
The party was nice. Missy and Phyliss made me vegetarian dumplings, and stuffing and boca burgers. I told Tim I had joined the NRA last week. We all posed for a group photo near the end of the evening.
Sunday Morning. went to Burger King and got pancakes for the girls. The girls played Apples to Apples. and Twister. I read Question and Answer cards to Zarah. (It was for 1st graders) She did really good.

Sunday Night 12-27-15 went to the 6:00 p.m. showing of “Star Wars the Force Awakens” in 3d at the 3535 W 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46268. It was a pretty nice place.
They brought Popcorn and Drinks to our seats. Each seat had a little swing out table. The seats were high back black leather.
All 3 of really liked the movie. It was a blast in 3d.
The movie got over at 8:22 P.M. It was about 35 degrees and windy and rainy. Courtney came in the Excursion and met us there to pick the girls up. I transferred the girls gifts from my car to hers. When I got home I saw that Zarah had left her stuffed OLAF at the house. I hope she doesn’t notice. She will be sad.
