picked the girls up around 1:00 PM on Saturday May 29th and we headed down to Southern Indiana. We listened to my Spotify playlist on the way. We were going to stop at the Shops in Edinburgh on the way down. However Google Maps had other plans as far as directions.
We arrived in Jasper in the late afternoon. I looked on my phone for my hotel reservations and couldn’t find a confirmation email. I called 3-4 hotels in Jasper and non of them had a reservation for us. The girls went into Wal-Mart in Jasper and Zarah bought a swim suit. She had forgotten hers.
I called Deeya and she said she would look for a room for us. While that was going on we went to Taco Bell and ate inside
We made it to the hotel and unpacked. Right next door on the same property was a movie theater. We decided to walk next door and see Cruella. The theater filled up pretty quickly.
All 3 of us liked the movie quite a bit.
We walked back to the room. Zarah announced a strict lights out of 11:30 P.M.
Azure is always complaining that Zarah hogs up the beds at night…. Guess tonight was payback.
Sunday morning we drove to downtown Jasper and went to Denny’s for Breakfast. They were super short handed and said it would take about 40 minutes to get food to our table.
We had just found out that Santa Claus Indiana was an hour later than Jasper Indiana. That meant we had an extra hour to kill. So we were fine with the wait.
Santa Claus Indiana is about 25 minutes from Jasper. We arrived about 15 minutes after Holiday World opened.
The girls rode the Legend Coaster as soon as we got there The weather was perfect all day. maybe even a little cool.
The girls spent a lot of time at the water park however I didn’t take any pictures. We had Pizza, French Fries and Uncrustables for lunch.
We went through the Gobbler Getaway. However we had no idea what it was when we went in.
We went to a game booth that had you throw a softball into a old milk jug. Azure won a Hello Kitty doll ( Which is why we went there) Zarah tried 2 times but it wasn’t to be this time. She will win one next time though!
Around 6:00 PM or just an hour before closing we decided to try the water rides.
One last pose before the end of the day!!! Good bye Holiday World.
We left the park around 7:15 and headed back to Jasper. While we were driving through Ferdinand Indiana I saw the dome of a big building so I detoured to find out what it was.
It was the The Sisters of St. Benedict Monastery. It was pretty interesting looking. Zarah liked it quite a bit and took pictures and Googled it on her phone. She told me the Monastery was created in 1867.
By the time we got back to Jasper it was Sunday night at 9:00 PM. We had forgotten about the time change. There were no restaurants open. We ordered Dominos via Zarahs phone and sat in the parking lot waiting for it to cook. The put cheese on Azure’s pizza of course. So the made us another one and gave us a free 2 liter of sprite. That was cool. Azure had her own pizza, I got Azures original pizza and Zarah had a massive cheese pizza.
When we got back to the room it was past 10 PM The girls watched Instagram video’s on their phones. while I watched Russel Crowe in Gladiator on T.V. Again Zarah told us Lights out was at 11:30 PM
We packed up and went to French Lick Indiana to the Big Splash Adventure and Hotel. We had room 1408
They had a Chuckie Cheese style arcade so the girls won some tickets and prizes playing those.
We went to “The Boatyard” restaurant in the hotel. They messed up my pasta order and put cheese on Azures Pasta order. They were like ” We messed up your order hope that is ok” …. That was kind of strange.
We went to bed around 11 PM . The girls were kind of hot so I opened a window. There was a nice cool breeze coming in. We got up around 8 am the next day and basically packed and left the hotel.
When we hit Bloomington I asked Azure if she would be interested in going to a Vegan Restaurant She said yes. She found one on google maps.
We parked downtown and walked to the restaurant. On the way we found a really cool 3 story Antique mall. We could had stayed in there for hours. But we kept it to about 45 minutes.
When we arrived at the restaurant There was no Inside seating due to Covid. Azure had Mac and Cheese and Zarah and I split some French fries.
We go to Azure and Zarahs house at around 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday. I went straight home and took a nap before work at 9:00 PM

On January 31st my “blackout” curtains from Amazon showed up. As well as a couple of “Dutch Ovens” That Dina Cox had ordered me as a surprise.

On February 1st 2018 I was sitting at work when I got the below text from Azure. She wanted me to take her to I.C.C. Practice at Butler.
Picked up Azure and then we went to her Classmate and Choir mates house and headed to Butler. The play about “Carol King” was going on at Clowes.
I sat in the car while the girls sang. It was very cold out and crowded because of the play. I didn’t want to lose my parking spot so I just listened to the radio.
I drove the girls back to Brownsburg and took Azure’s friend to her dads house near Kohls.
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2nd 2018
On my way up to Brownsburg to pick up the girls from Melissa Ballards I saw this car with a “Defenders of the Universe” reference. I thought Azure would get a kick out of it.
Yudi had trouble finding the house so I had to walk outside and try to guide them in from the Speedway gas station. They had fun playing in the bedroom.
Deeya and Frank were at the Symphony downtown. I texted Deeya and asked if Brooklynn could stay all night. Deeya said yes…. Needless to say the girls were super happy!!!!
I made Veggie Soup while the girls played in the bedroom.
FEBRUARY 3rd 2018. Saturday Morning I went to Planet Fitness. Yudi studied for School on my Computer. The girls watched silly videos on T.V. and made Slime.
The girls played tumbling on the mattress and Buku put makeup on Zarah while Azure played her Ukulele.
Right in the middle of taking the next photo my phone died for about 12 hours….luckily it started working on Sunday so i was able to get all of the photos off of it.
Yudi took this one and sent it to me…
Buku and Yudi had to leave around noon to get home by 1:00
My Phone was dead all day so i didn’t get to take any more pixs…
Zarah had gotten an award for perfect attendance at school. So I took her to Fazolis to celebrate. There was a free child meal attached to her attendance award. They wanted the award when I ordered, but I didn’t want to give it up so I just paid for her meal.
We had a good time eating. Then after we left we went to the Library and got some books and movies.
Around 3 or 4 PM, Missy and Danny used their truck to bring over a Couch and Loveseat from Facebook.com/marketplace. The brought Grace over as well. Courtney had asked me if I would watch her Saturday along with Azure and Zarah. Jessica and Jessie are going downtown to Crackers Comedy Club and Indoor Go-Carting for “Valentines Day”
As Missy and Danny were getting ready to leave the girls got immediately got on the couch and started playing Games on the Kindle Fires. Zarah was sorta teary… I said “Whats wrong?”…
Then I could immediately tell that Azure and Grace were excluding Zarah. Missy said… Don’t let any 2 of the girls gang up on the 3rd. I said “I won’t” that stuff really make me irritated.
So that was strike one for Azure, because she is old enough to know what she is doing.
Finally all the girls sat together on the couch and ordered games and played together..
Around 5:00 P.M. I remembered that it was the 1st Saturday of the month. Everything at Goodwill is 50% off. I asked the girls if the wanted to go, they all said yes..
We jumped in the car went to Goodwill. The girls wanted to get some clothes to turn in “Crafts”
Zarah got a pink top with Kitten Faces on it. Azure got some blue jeans with Mickey and Minny mouse patches on it. Grace got a Blue sweatshirt with Sequin letters on it of a Gymnastics, or Dance class that she was in.
I ended up buying a Netgear router for $2.50 two brand new pair of Banana Republic Dress pants for 2.00 each. and two brand new light fixtures still in the box for $3.00 each.
We got back and the girls started to cut up their clothes with scissors. Azure was mad at Zarah because Azure didn’t think Zarah she should cut hers up because it was in perfectly good shape. As I walked around the corner I saw Azure slap Zarah in the face. She didn’t do it hard but it still made me angry… STRIKE TWO. I said AZURE IF YOU DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN I AM TAKING YOU HOME…. Then I said you bought them to cut them up she can do it if she wants to.
I went to my bedroom to work on my computer. They did a couple of fashion shows with the customized clothes…They each came into my room and modeled while Azure narrated the process. they were laughing and having a great time… I am happy to see them play and be happy…
Later they went into their bedroom and started playing….. then soon enough… Azure Kicked Zarah….
Zarah came into my room crying…. I said ok Azure, thats it you are going home first thing in the morning.. Strike Three
Zarah asked for Popcorn and wanted to watch a movie on my bed. I made the Popcorn and put in Flubber….Soon Grace and Azure came in and laid down too…. things were good and happy for a while…. Azure tried to as nicely as she could to apologies to Zarah… but Zarah wouldn’t talk to her. Then when I asked Zarah why she wouldn’t talk to Azure, Zarah wouldn’t talk to me.
I tried to get her to answer me but she just ignored me…. Finally I said OK that’s it… bed time.
I turned off the movie, grabbed the popcorn and sent them to their bedroom.
Grace was going to sleep on the mattress on the floor in the bedroom, but she must not have liked that… she started crying… I went into the room and asked her if she wanted to sleep up in the bunk bed with Zarah… she said yes……
I was tired.. I went to bed as well…..
Zarah tried to come in and lay down in my room a couple of times in the middle of the night.. I was still frustrated… I said No, and sent her back to her room. I felt bad, but I just can’t stand fighting and drama….ugh…..
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 4th 2018
The next morning I told the girls I was going to make Biscuits and Gravy and then I was going to take them home. I was glad to find out that my phone started working again.
Courtney and I spoke on the phone a couple of times about bringing the girls home..Courtney had to work at two.. Missy was cooking and Brooks was sick… Finally I decided that it was going to be a headache for everyone. I said “just forget it I will keep them and take them with me to Missy and Dannys at 5:00 p.m. ”
While they played I decided to change the garbage disposal. I haven’t really been able to do the dishes because the right sink won’t drain. The disposal that is there now if broken, rusty and leaky.
I went ahead and pulled out and unhooked the nasty leak dishwasher as well.
The girls watched “Alice in Wonderland” while I worked.
I put in a new A.C. Outlet for the Garbage disposal while I was hooking it up .
Not too shabby… works good. 🙂
The girls started watching “School of Rock” as I was wrapping things up… It was about 3:30 and we needed to leave in an hour. I took a shower and got ready. The girls changed clothes and brushed their hair.
We jumped into the car at 4:30 and made it Missy and Danny’s right at 5:00.
I ended staying until about 8:30 p.m. I had a nice time. Dinner was delicious. Missy sent me home with a lot of leftovers… yum.
Courtney called me around noon and said that Azure was going to sing the ICC tonight around 7:00 to 815. Courtney paid form my ticket. I got to the Church around
