Azure
came over last weekend and brought a large Yellow Poster Board that had
instructions for a school project she was assigned. She had been asked
to come up with an Invention and then demonstrate it. She decided that
she wanted to make a “Tree Elevator”. so that people could get up in
tall trees without falling. I told her maybe we could make a miniature
version for her demonstration. Me and Judy and Zarah and Azure drove to
Cicero to the Hardware store. Amazingly they had really small pulleys
available. I bought one. And then we went to the ice cream store and ate
Ice Cream outside. It was a really nice day out.
Later
the next day after
church. Azure and I walked around in the woods at Deeyas house trying
to find a small tree branch that I could basically turn into a “charlie
Brown Christmas tree”. We could not find anything that really worked
like I wanted it to.
So when Courtney met me at 5 Seasons at 6:00 We just had one branch and a pulley.
(On
a side note. When I saw Courtney, for some reason. I got really
irritated about the whole family situation. So I was not very friendly. I
didn’t say or do anything rude but I ended the conversation asap and
went back inside 5 Seasons. I was surprised that this anger had come
over me so fast. Anyway. I made Courtney mad I am quite sure)
I called Dan the next day and asked him if he
could look around his backyard for a tree branch. He said Sure….
On
Tuesday however Deeya offered to take me over to see Azure in
Brownsburg so that I could help her finish it. I found a pretty good
tree branch out in the woods and sawed it off. Deeya and I went to
Walmart and bought a small Sophia doll to use in her project.
I
called Azure to tell her I was gonna come over on Wednesday. She was
really excited. However later in the day I called back and Azure told me
that her Mom told her “No” that I couldn’t come over. This was how I
knew I had made Courtney mad when she picked up the girls. Anyway I got
Courtney on the phone. She denied that she had said that but then she
said “Well, her dad and Tim had been working on it anyway so Azure
didn’t really
The
next morning Wednesday 5-21-2014 Courtney text-ed me and said Azure
called from school and wanted to stay after school to watch a talent
show and so she wouldn’t be available to work on the project. I called
her school and they said the talent show got over at 5:15 pm. I thought
wow Azure will get home a whole 45 minutes later than usual. So I
decided to proceed with the plan anyway. Deeya found some fake flowers
around the house and we glued and wired them onto the tree branch. I put
moss around the base of the tree and printed off some facts about
Pulleys for Azure to learn about.
I
called Missy and asked her if I would be OK if I came over when Azure
got home. She said Sure. I asked her If azure stayed there most of the
time. She said that she stays there a lot
on school nights. She said that they really leave it up to Azure.
Deeya
and Brooklynn and I left for Brownsburg at 5:00 P.m. It was raining
pretty hard out. We got two Flash Flood alerts on our phones on the
drive.
We
got there about 6:00 PM. We stayed and worked on the project for about
45 minutes. Courtney Tim and the Baby were there. Courtney gave me a
pair of my old tennis shoes. Zarah was desperate to show me the Deer
Skeleton that was in the Backyard. Dan was on the laptop. When we were
leaving Zarah gave me hug after hug after hug ( around my leg). it was
super sweet. I had Zarah show me one of her Karate Kicks.
Missy
showed me all of the Auction stuff that had accrued in the Garage. She
said
Mark and mIndy Sold thier house and were moving to Florida soon. She
said Annie was 14 years old now. She said Jesse and Jessica were buying a
house around the corner from them.
we
left and stopped at Books a million and Deeya and Brooklynn worked on
Brooklynn Gemstone school assignment. I had coffee and looked at books
and Magazines for about an hour. All in all we had a good time. I was
glad we went. Deeya said I made a good impression.
We
got home a little after 9:00 PM. Around 10:00 PM Courtney called me to
tell me that Tim was impressed with the tree. And that she was also.
She said it was a lot nicer than what they had planned to make. She said thank you for doing that. That was nice of her to say
. I asked Courtney to take a
picture of it and send it to me. She said that she would.
